[ P L A C E S  T O   E A T ]
macaron is a sweet meringue-based confectionary made with egg whites, icing sugar, granulated sugar, almond powder or ground almond, and food coloring. The macaron is commonly filled with ganache, buttercream or jam filling sandwiched between two cookies.

[ The Macaron has a little raised edge ]

This dessert is characterised by its smooth, domed top, ruffle edges also known as the feet and flat base. It has a crunchy top, a mildly moist centre and easily melts in the mouth
Macarons can be found in a wide variety of flavours that range from the traditional raspberry, chocolate to the new marmite, green matcha tea even beetroot. The fillings can range from jams to ganache to butter.
The reasons to why a bite sized little sweet dessert like a Macaron can be so expensive is due to its length of time and effort needed to create this delicate little thing!
Each ingredient needs to be super fine and correctly measured, if anything is changed in the ratio of ingredients the macaron will not rise. To raise the cookie, the paste needs to be rested for hours until it forms a firm top before putting in the oven. Every step needs to be precise to create a perfect macaron!
